Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday reviewed arrangements for the annual Kheer Bhawani yatra and said authorities would complete all necessary facilities before devotees begin arriving in large numbers later this month.

Abdullah visited the Mata Ragnya Devi temple at Tulmulla, one of the most important religious sites for Kashmiri Pandits, and inspected infrastructure and public services ahead of the annual festival.

Thousands of yatris are expected to attend the event, which draws devotees from across India and the Kashmiri diaspora.

The chief minister said local officials had been instructed to address concerns raised by temple authorities and ensure smooth arrangements for visitors.

He also referred to preparations for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, saying the government would provide all necessary support to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).

Abdullah appealed to yatris visiting J&K to pray for peace and communal harmony in the region.
