The event was organised by the State Tuberculosis Cell under the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir in collaboration with a diagnostics firm, bringing together doctors, public health experts and programme officials from across the Kashmir division.
The camp, part of KMCH’s community outreach programme, offered consultations across multiple specialties, along with free medicines and diagnostic services including ultrasound, organisers said.
The camp was held by the Jammu and Kashmir Association of Chest Physicians in collaboration with Paras Health Srinagar, with a focus on improving access to respiratory care and raising awareness about chest-related diseases.
The incident occurred at a cold store in the Aglar fruit mandi area, where three engineers were carrying out repair work when the boiler exploded.
