A 75-year-old woman was killed and two others injured after a car overturned along the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening, police said.

The accident occurred near Bal Shama village close to Sunderbani when the vehicle lost control and turned turtle alongside the highway, officials said.

The deceased was identified as Kulwant Kour, a resident of Jammu, who died on the spot, police said.

Two other occupants of the car, identified as Suvneek Singh and his father Didar Singh, sustained injuries in the incident and were shifted for medical treatment.

Police said further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
