Power cuts scheduled across Kashmir

Power supply to several areas of Kashmir will be affected by scheduled shutdowns on various transmission lines between August 3 and August 8, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Ltd said.

A shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam line on August 3 and 6 will affect Budgam and adjoining areas, including Sabdan, Nasrullahpora, Jawalapora, Ompora, the SIDCO area, the railway station and NIFT.

Power supply to areas including Sogam, Repora, Chadoora, Wathoora, Bugam, Dawlatpora, Panzan, Yousmarg and Charar-i-Sharief will be affected on Aug. 4 due to maintenance work on the Nowbugh Chadoora and Nowbugh Nagam lines.

The 33 kV Delina-Sopore Tap Line will be shut on August 4 and 8, affecting parts of Sopore and adjoining areas.

The Kanir Tapline will be shut on August 5 and 8, affecting several areas including Barwah, Nowpora, Kralwari Zoohama, Kanir and Kheerigund.

A shutdown of the Pampore-BK Pora line on August 5 will affect areas including B K Pora, Khanda, Chatergam and Kenihama.

The 33 kV Baramulla First Line will be shut on August 6 from 9 am to 2 pm, affecting Khanpora, Ushkara, Khojabagh, GMC, Noor Bagh, the deputy commissioner’s office, Baramulla main market and adjoining areas.
