Director General of Rural Sanitation Anoo Malhotra reviewed sanitation projects in Kupwara district on Saturday and directed officials to complete ongoing works within prescribed deadlines.
The review covered rural sanitation infrastructure, door-to-door waste collection, tendering, maintenance of existing assets and other initiatives under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen).
Malhotra conducted a block-wise assessment of projects and asked officials to accelerate implementation.
She also directed the assistant commissioner of panchayat to monitor progress closely and ensure sanctioned works were completed on time.
Senior district officials, engineers, consultants and other representatives attended the meeting.
