Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday paid tribute to armed forces on the first anniversary of ‘Operation Sindoor’, praising their courage and commitment to national security.

In a statement marking the anniversary, Sinha said the operation reflected the bravery, professionalism and preparedness of the armed forces in responding to threats against the country.

He said the nation remained grateful for the sacrifices and dedication of military personnel in safeguarding India’s sovereignty and protecting civilians.

Operation Sindoor was launched in May 2025 following the Pahalgam attack in Kashmir and involved coordinated operations by India’s army, navy, air force and border forces targeting what officials described as militant infrastructure across the western border.

Political leaders across the country, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior cabinet ministers, marked the anniversary by paying tribute to the armed forces and renewing calls for vigilance against terrorism.
