The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Monday paid tribute to three former lawmakers who died between its previous and current sessions.
The autumn session opened with obituary references to former National Conference (NC) leader Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Congress leader Dharam Paul, and PDP leader Ghulam Hassan Khan.
Kamal had served three terms as an MLA, Paul four terms, and Khan one term.
The House observed a two-minute silence in their memory before proceeding with legislative business.
Unlike previous sessions, lawmakers did not make individual speeches during the obituary references.
