Jammu and Kashmir Police chief Nalin Prabhat on Friday told 29 newly appointed police officers that wearing the uniform carried a responsibility to serve with honesty, loyalty and patriotism.
The officers were selected through the 2024 Combined Competitive Examination conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission.
Prabhat said police service would expose the officers to difficult and potentially life-threatening situations.
Training at the Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy in Udhampur would prepare them to meet operational and professional challenges, he said.
The DGP congratulated the officers and their families and said he would interact with them in greater detail after they joined the academy.
