Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday highlighted developmental financing, agricultural marketing and renewable energy as key areas for the region’s long-term growth.
Omar was speaking at a two-day conference on financing India’s development journey towards “Viksit Bharat”, organised by the federal finance ministry in New Delhi.
The conference brought together finance ministers and finance secretaries from states and union territories with legislatures to discuss ways of financing India’s long-term development.
Sessions at the conference covered the macroeconomic outlook, agricultural transformation and the country’s energy transition.
The discussions focused on challenges and opportunities facing India as it pursues its goal of becoming a developed economy, according to the conference organisers.
