Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), was granted conditional bail on Saturday after being arrested for allegedly violating a peace bond, Delhi Police said.
Dipke was detained on Friday shortly after leaving his home in Delhi’s Jhandewalan area to take part in the party’s ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ protest at Connaught Place.
Police arrested him on Saturday morning over an alleged breach of the peace bond he had furnished on October 10.
A senior police officer said that Dipke was released after giving an assurance in accordance with the bond’s conditions.
Police were awaiting the written order to establish further details of the release, the officer said.
