A Supreme Court-appointed committee has launched an online portal to receive complaints about violence reported at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi and other locations in July 2026, the government said on Saturday.
The High Powered Enquiry Committee (HPEC) has invited submissions from people affected by the incidents, including police personnel, through its website, hpec.nic.in, according to a statement issued by the Press Information Bureau.
The panel will examine issues identified in Supreme Court orders dated August 18 and September 10, the statement said.
Priority will be given to complaints concerning the use of pellet guns, targeted violence and harassment of women protesters, and allegations of excessive force and property destruction by either side.
The portal includes provisions to protect vulnerable witnesses and allows complainants to keep their identities confidential.
Submissions can also be made in person at the committee’s office at Shiksha Sadan, Rouse Avenue Institutional Area, New Delhi, between 2 pm and 4 pm on working days. Complaints and supporting documents may also be sent by post or emailed to hpec2026.enquiry@nic.in, the statement said.
