Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that India would establish fast-track courts to ensure swift punishment for those involved in examination paper leaks, as the government sought to reassure students affected by irregularities in competitive examinations.

PM Modi said the welfare and future of young people were a priority and that authorities had been directed to take all necessary measures to protect students.

“Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth,” he said in a post on X, announcing the decision on fast-track courts.

The PM said those responsible for compromising the future of young people would not be spared.

The announcement comes amid continuing concern over examination integrity and demands from students for stronger action against alleged paper leaks.
