Weather conditions were expected to remain largely dry from November 6 to 9, he said.

Night temperatures across Kashmir remained close to seasonal averages. Shopian recorded the lowest minimum at 0.8 degrees Celsius, while Sonamarg registered 1 degree, Pahalgam 1.5, Gulmarg 2 and Kupwara 2.1 degrees Celsius.

Fog formation and reduced visibility were likely to become more frequent as temperatures continued to fall, he said.
