Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday dismissed protests marking the anniversary of the revocation of Article 370, saying he had not seen any demonstrations and describing the 2019 constitutional changes as the end of a discriminatory system.

Later, he handed appointment letters to family members of civilians killed in militant attacks and said the administration remained committed to dismantling the terror network and ensuring justice for victims’ families.

In a post on X, Sinha said Jammu and Kashmir was advancing with renewed confidence under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and that the region was witnessing peace, equality and development after the 2019 changes.
