Jammu schools to remain closed on May 29 for Eid-ul-Adha

‘Holiday declared with competent authority’s approval’

The Directorate of School Education Jammu on Tuesday declared a special holiday on May 29 for all government and recognised private schools across Jammu division on account of Eid-ul-Adha.

According to an official order issued by the Directorate, all educational institutions under its jurisdiction will remain closed on Friday to facilitate the observance of the festival.

The order said the holiday had been declared with the approval of the competent authority.

Eid-ul-Adha, one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic calendar, will be observed with prayers and celebrations across Jammu and Kashmir later this week.
