Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Friday and discussed statehood and other issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir, the government said.
The meeting covered restoration of statehood, finalisation of the Transaction of Business Rules, and rationalisation of reservations, besides matters related to public welfare and development.
Abdullah also briefed Shah on the first International Film Festival of J&K, scheduled to begin in Srinagar on September 7.
The CM thanked the Home Minister for assistance being provided to J&K following flood-related damage in several areas.
