Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday introduced a bill in the Legislative Assembly seeking amendments to the Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Act, 2000.
Abdullah, who also holds the Housing and Urban Development portfolio, introduced the Jammu and Kashmir Municipal (Amendment) Bill, 2026, listed as LA Bill No. 10 of 2026.
The bill had already been published in an extraordinary issue of the Official Gazette.
