Authorities in Srinagar on Friday reviewed preparations for the upcoming Baisakhi festival, scheduled to be observed on April 14, officials said.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Akshay Labroo at the district office and attended by senior civil and Police officials, along with representatives of the Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Srinagar.
Officials from departments including Police, municipal services, health, power, traffic, and food safety were present to coordinate arrangements for the celebrations.
During the meeting, Labroo reviewed the preparedness of various departments and assessed measures being put in place to ensure smooth and orderly observance of the festival across the district.
Authorities said the focus was on coordinating essential services and facilitating seamless celebrations for devotees.
