India on Tuesday blamed Pakistan for the ongoing unrest across the Line of Control (LoC), saying the protests reflected decades of “systemic exploitation” and accusing Islamabad of responding with repression instead of addressing public grievances.

Responding to a media query, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the unrest was “a direct consequence” of Pakistan’s “systemic exploitation, denial of fundamental rights and administrative oppression” in the region.

He accused Pakistani authorities of using “extreme police brutality” against protesters, including women and children, instead of responding to their concerns.

Jaiswal also alleged that Pakistan had blocked food and medicine supplies, imposed internet shutdowns and used lethal force against unarmed civilians.

“We expect the international community to hold Pakistan fully accountable,” he said.

His remarks came as protests continued across LoC, where demonstrators have voiced concerns over governance, economic conditions, and civil rights.
