Six people were injured after a vehicle crashed into an electric pole on the Saloosa-Kreeri road in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, officials said.
The accident occurred after the driver of the vehicle, bearing registration number DL10CF-2841, allegedly lost control while speeding, officials said.
All six injured passengers were taken to Sub-District Hospital Kreeri for initial treatment before being referred to Government Medical College Baramulla for specialised care, they added.
The injured were identified as Junaid Mir, Muhammad Anwar, Muhammad Huzaif Sofi, Muhammad Muzamil Sofi, Waheed Ahmad Sofi and Farhan-u-Din, all residents of Sheikhpora village.
Police said a case had been registered and an investigation into the accident was underway.
