The J&K government has extended the summer vacation for all government and recognised private schools in Kashmir Division and the winter zones of Jammu Division until July 26, with classes scheduled to resume on July 27.

School Education Minister Sakeena Itoo said the decision was taken in view of the safety and well-being of students, teachers and their families.
