Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has assigned additional charge of the Information Technology and Public Grievances Department to senior IAS officer Saurabh Bhagat, according to an official order issued on Wednesday.

Bhagat, an AGMUT cadre officer of the 2002 batch, currently serves as Commissioner Secretary to the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA).

“In the interest of administration, it is hereby ordered that Saurabh Bhagat, IAS (AGMUT: 2002), Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, shall also hold the charge of the posts of Administrative Secretary, Information Technology and Public Grievances Department, in addition to his own duties, till further orders,” the order said.

M Raju issued the order on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor.

No reason was specified in the order for the additional assignment, which will remain in effect until further orders from the administration.
