Srinagar, April 10 

A motorcyclist was killed and his pillion rider injured in a collision with a car in south Kashmir’s Qazigund area on Friday evening, officials said.

The crash occurred at Manigam in Mir Bazar along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, where a motorcycle and a car collided, officials said, adding that the impact proved fatal for the rider, who died at the scene.

The injured pillion rider was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
