Kashmir’s prominent religious leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq attended an interaction with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in New Delhi on Friday, according to a statement issued by his office.
Mirwaiz travelled to New Delhi at the invitation of Iranian Ambassador to India Mohammad Fathali to attend the interaction, which was hosted by the embassy.
The event brought together religious leaders, intellectuals and other dignitaries and was followed by a dinner reception, the statement said.
