Jammu and Kashmir has set a maximum seven-working-day deadline for field inspections linked to eight online services of its Housing and Urban Development Department, the government said.
The timeline was prescribed under a government order issued on September 11 as part of the Business Reforms Action Plan.
The deadline applies to inspections for street-vendor licences, municipal trade licences or no-objection certificates, sewerage connections and building-plan approvals.
It also covers permissions for building alterations and additions, revisions or revalidation, demolition and reconstruction, plinth approval and occupancy or completion certificates.
The seven-day period applies to the conduct of the inspection and does not mean the related application must be approved within that period, the order said.
The reforms are part of efforts to make government services more time-bound and increase online delivery under the Business Reforms Action Plan.
