Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday formally resumed office at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu as the administration shifted to the winter capital under the traditional Darbar Move.
Omar was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by a Jammu and Kashmir Police contingent before inspecting the parade at the Secretariat.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Cabinet ministers, Acting Chief Secretary Shailendra Kumar and senior civil and police officials attended the ceremony.
After the ceremonial proceedings, the chief minister went to his office and took up official work.
The reopening of the Secretariat in Jammu marks the resumption of the administration’s biannual shift between Srinagar and Jammu.
