LG directs district administration to take appropriate steps for rejuvenation of a pond adjoining the temple

Jammu, June 6
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday visited the Gauri Shankar temple in the Sarkoot area of Kishtwar district, where he offered prayers for peace, prosperity and the well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the visit, LG Sinha also reviewed issues raised by public representatives and residents and directed the district administration to take appropriate steps for the rejuvenation of a pond adjoining the temple, officials said.
He was accompanied by Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Sunil Sharma, Kishtwar legislator Shagun Parihar, Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma, and other senior officials.
The visit formed part of the LG’s outreach in the district and his engagement with local stakeholders on developmental and public welfare issues, officials said.
