J&K Bank has won a Gold award at the Finacle Innovation Awards 2026 in the category ‘Modern Technologies-led Innovation – Data Insights and Analytics Platform’, recognising the lender’s use of artificial intelligence and data analytics to improve operations and customer services.

The award was presented at an event organised by Infosys Finacle in Mumbai, where the bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Amitava Chatterjee received the honour alongside General Manager (Strategy, IT and CIO) Muhammad Muzaffar Wani.

According to the bank, the awards attracted nearly 500 nominations from financial institutions, making the competition highly contested.

The recognition was awarded for the bank’s Data Insights and Analytics Platform, a cloud-based enterprise data ecosystem designed to provide a unified source of information for reporting, business intelligence, analytics and artificial intelligence applications.

The platform has enabled the deployment of multiple AI and machine learning-based solutions across areas including operational efficiency, forecasting, customer analytics, risk and credit management, customer retention and business performance, the bank said.

“At J&K Bank, our innovation journey has been defined by transforming data into decisions,” Chatterjee said in a statement.

He said the platform delivers real-time intelligence across operations and has helped the bank improve precision, speed and personalisation in customer service while generating measurable business outcomes.

Chatterjee said that the award reflected the bank’s strategy of building a digitally driven institution focused on technology, analytics, governance and operational efficiency.

The Finacle Innovation Awards recognise banks and financial institutions that have implemented technology-led innovations to transform banking services and customer experience.

The award comes shortly after J&K Bank reported its highest-ever annual profit and record financial performance for the 2025-26 financial year, which the bank attributed in part to investments in technology, analytics and digital transformation initiatives.

The Finacle India Connect 2026 event brought together more than 200 banking and technology leaders from across India’s banking, financial services and insurance sector to discuss emerging trends and the future of banking transformation.
