Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday condemned the killing of a minor girl in Budgam and said those responsible for the crime would face strict punishment.

LG Sinha said he had spoken to the Director General of Police and other senior officials and directed them to ensure a thorough investigation into the case.

“Those responsible for this heinous crime will not go unpunished,” he said.

The LG expressed condolences to the bereaved family and conveyed solidarity with them during their time of grief.

The killing of the minor girl in Budgam has sparked outrage and mourning across Kashmir, with police intensifying the investigation and detaining four suspects for questioning.
