Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Thursday assigned additional charge of the post of Chief Executive Officer and Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board to IAS officer Pranjal J Hazarika, according to an official order.

Hazarika, an AGMUT cadre officer of the 2021 batch, is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Labour and Employment Department.

The order said he would hold charge of the post in addition to his existing duties until further orders.

He replaces senior Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service officer Munir-ul-Islam, who has been relieved of the additional charge.

“In the interest of administration, it is hereby ordered that Pranjal J Hazarika, IAS (AGMUT: 2021), Additional Secretary to the Government, Labour and Employment Department, shall also hold the charge of the post of CEO and Secretary, J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB), in addition to his own duties,” the order issued by General Administration Department Commissioner Secretary M Raju said.
