A woman was allegedly murdered in broad daylight in the Lower Kartholi area of Bari Brahmana in Samba district on Monday, police said.

The victim was identified as Annu Singh, wife of Ajay Singh and a resident of Lower Kartholi in Krishna Nagar, Bari Brahmana, police said.

Preliminary investigations indicated that a family dispute may have been behind the killing, officials said.

The woman, who was the mother of two children, was found dead after the incident, they said.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the killing in Bari Brahmana.
