Fuel and cooking gas supplies across Jammu and Kashmir remain stable and adequate, the State Level Coordinator (SLC) of the oil industry for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh said on Monday.

In a statement, Himanshu Sharma said the entire petroleum supply chain, including terminals, depots and retail outlets, was functioning efficiently without disruption.

“The Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have informed that the availability of essential petroleum products, including petrol, diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), remains normal and uninterrupted across Jammu and Kashmir,” Sharma said.

He said fuel stocks were being continuously monitored and replenishment operations were proceeding smoothly across all locations.

Sharma said that LPG supplies to domestic consumers were being prioritised and maintained normally throughout the federally administered territory.

“Necessary steps are being taken to ensure uninterrupted delivery to all consumers,” he said.

The oil industry was maintaining close coordination on logistics, stock movement and retail operations to ensure seamless fuel availability across the region, Sharma added.

He also appealed to residents to avoid panic buying and urged consumers to continue normal purchasing patterns.

Sharma advised the public to rely only on official communications issued by public sector oil marketing companies for verified information regarding fuel availability in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
