Awareness programmes organised in Awantipora

Under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, the police on Monday continued its sustained efforts against drug abuse and narcotics-related activities by conducting raids at multiple locations and organising awareness programmes across the Tral area to strengthen the campaign against substance abuse.
A statement of J&K Police issued here said that as part of the drive, narcotics raids were conducted at Razak Shah Tral and Lalgam to curb drug-related activities and identify individuals involved in illegal narcotics networks.
Simultaneously, awareness programmes were organised at various locations to educate people, especially youth, about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage community participation in eradicating the menace from society.
An awareness programme was conducted at Sumo Stand Tral, while similar programmes were organised at Government Higher Secondary School Ladhoo and Government Higher Secondary School Batagund Tral. The programmes witnessed active participation from students, teachers, transport workers, and members of the public.
J&K Police reiterated its commitment towards making society drug-free and urged citizens to cooperate and share information regarding drug peddling or substance abuse for collective action against the menace.
